◼️ TEENS SERVING TEXAS AND ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AWARD

MEMBERS: Nominate an excellent Senior student for the Teens Serving Texas Award or the Academic Excellence Award! The TASSP student awards were established to honor and recognize high school seniors who have demonstrated excellence in areas of academic achievement, test scores, and writing skills. Also to honor and recognize high school seniors who have demonstrated excellence in areas of community service, leadership, and personal accomplishment through unique endeavors, obstacles overcome, or special talents. The program will recognize 25 winning graduating Texas seniors with an unrestricted scholarship of $500! TASSP Student Awards »  The application deadline is March 7, 2025.

◼️ Eddie G. Bull Professional Development Scholarship
The Texas Association of Secondary School Principals seeks to recognize exemplary performance among beginning campus-level administrators in Texas and to provide the support needed to promote quality leadership in secondary education. Applicants must be serving in their first 1-3 years as Principal and/or Assistant Principal and a current member of TASSP. The Eddie G. Bull Professional Development Scholarship is awarded at the annual TASSP Summer Workshop held in Austin, Texas. ◼️ Frank R. Kemerer Award
NOMINATE A HIGH SCHOOL SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHER FOR THEIR OUTSTANDING INSTRUCTIONAL PRACTICES! 

The purpose of this award is to recognize an outstanding social studies teacher at the high school level. The award is named for Dr. Frank Kemerer, a longtime professor in the Education Department at the University of North Texas. Dr. Kemerer’s teaching and writing consistently displayed a level of scholarship and professionalism that set a high standard for his students, many of whom now serve as teachers or administrators in Texas public schools.

Nominees for the Frank R. Kemerer Award must have at least five years teaching experience in social studies at the secondary level in Texas public schools and must be nominated by their high school principal and endorsed by the superintendent. ◼️ Diversity Leadership Award

TASSP seeks to recognize current members of TASSP whose program or initiative has proven to promote diversity through stronger relationships, improved communications, and enhanced understanding within your respective campus or district, or the broader community within the current or past year. Nominees must be either a Principal or Assistant Principal from a High School or Middle-Level campus. Award winner will be honored at the TASSP Summer Workshop and receive a monetary award to be used to promote their respective diversity program or initiative. The application deadline is April 1, 2025. 2024-2025 Criteria and Application »
